Why we do What we do
                           
One of the important objectives of Blue Shield Curaçao is to include the
 protection of our cultural heritage in the National Crisis Plan. This
 has already been accomplished as of April 2013. Together with experts
 and volunteers, we address all aspects of the Disaster Management cycle:
 Preparedness, Response, Recovery, and Mitigation.
Our non-profit organization is dedicated to protecting the cultural heritage of Curacao through a range of activities. We conduct research to better understand the history and cultural significance of the island’s landmarks, monuments, and artifacts. We organize events and exhibitions to raise awareness and promote appreciation of Curacao’s cultural heritage among the general public. We collaborate with local and international organizations to advocate for policies and regulations that protect our island’s cultural heritage. We also offer training opportunities for our volunteers to develop their skills and knowledge in cultural heritage management, conservation techniques, research methods, and more. Our organization is committed to preserving the rich cultural heritage of Curacao for future generations, and we welcome everyone who shares our passion to join us.
